Destiny Lighthouse is a faith-based non-profit organization dedicated to the fight against the sex trafficking of children in Northwest Indiana through advocacy, training and by providing shelter, care and restoration to survivors.
Mission
Our mission is to bring healing & restoration to children who have been rescued from sex trafficking.
Working together as a community of believers, with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, Destiny Lighthouse will provide:
- A Christ-centered home for children who are survivors of sex trafficking
- Trauma-informed Counseling & Prayer ministry to address and heal trauma & abuse
- Spiritual support, medical assistance & other holistic therapies which aim to restore health & function
- Resources to equip the children to thrive mentally, emotionally, socially & spiritually and begin building healthy relationships
- Academic education, experiential learning and practical life skills
- And most importantly, Safety, love, and belonging
Advocacy
- Dedicated to raising awareness and providing training programs to combat human trafficking across Northwest Indiana and the Chicagoland region
- Provide information & statistics regarding human trafficking and its prevalence locally and nationally
- Host church events to present information about human trafficking and our goals with Destiny Lighthouse
- Provide relevant content to share with individuals, churches, ministries, organizations & local businesses
Goals
Our goal is to provide safe homes that support child survivors of human trafficking with a safe place to heal and recover as they find their God-given destiny and purpose.
Establish a comprehensive national Christian network to fight child trafficking, which will allow survivors to heal, reintegrate into society, and become leaders in their communities.
Prayer
- Build a network of houses of prayer committed to interceding for the end of human trafficking on a regular basis.
- Have our own weekly gathering for intercession regarding human trafficking, but specifically for its impact in our local community and for the development of Destiny Lighthouse.
- We believe in the power of prayer and in God’s ability to heal. We invite you to join us in prayer for the work of fighting exploitation and supporting child survivors.
